As of April 2nd, 2020 there have been 465 persons in quarantine due to the dreaded Coronavirus or COVID -19, to date, global confirmed cases stand at 1,033,478.
The announcement of the number of persons who have been in quarantine so far was made by Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves on NBC Radio.
Gonsalves on Friday stated that all persons coming into St. Vincent from all countries will be required to go under quarantine for 14 days.
All flights by international carriers into the country have been cancelled, while Liat will suspend all passenger service on April 4th.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines was the first country in the region to have put people under voluntary quarantine. 14 Chinese were placed under quarantine, they were among the first group of people to be tested, Gonsalves said.
As of April second SVG recorded its 3 positive case of COVID-19.
